From Notepad to Enterprise Platform

I run Riley's Market, a pet food delivery business. In the beginning when we were significantly smaller, we planned routes on notepad and copy/pasted it into a text message to the driver. It was clunky and it worked until it didn't. If a customer cancelled while the driver was out delivering, the delivery list would need to be manually updated and re-sent to the driver, often causing confusion and unnecessary phone calls for clarification. I looked into existing route optimization tools, but the price wasn't budget friendly.

So, I built my own. Then I gave it to a couple of friends who run similar delivery operations, and they suggested features I hadn't thought of because I didn't need them. Features like POD photos. SMS notifications. Tracking links for customers. Dispatcher tracking for all drivers in the field. Each one of those features was eventually incorporated into the product because somebody running real routes suggested it.

MOR has evolved into an Enterprise product, but we didn't forget our roots nor forget what brought us here. The free plan is free forever and the starter plan is budget friendly for small businesses who don't have an enterprise budget.

We use the product every day to run our own deliveries. That is the upside of being our own first customer.
