In a regulated industry, the route is only part of the job. The moment that actually carries risk is the handoff at the door. The operator is responsible for confirming the order reached the right person, capturing proof that it did, and holding those records for as long as the regulations require.
Most delivery tools stop at getting the driver to the address. The verification, the part regulators care about, gets left to a clipboard, a separate app, or a premium tier you have to upgrade into.
We built that part directly into My Optimized Route.
What's included
MOR now runs doorstep verification as part of the driver's delivery workflow:
- Driver attestation. The driver confirms the delivery met legal, regulatory and corporate requirements before the stop is marked complete.
- Optional signature capture. Collect a recipient's digital signature when you require one on file.
- Optional barcode scanning, with manual entry as a fallback. Scan the barcode (PDF417) on the recipient's ID, or manual entry when scanning is not possible.
Every step is optional and controlled by you. Requirements differ by industry, state and local laws, and by operation, so you decide which checks your drivers are required to complete instead of being forced into one fixed flow.
How the records are handled
Verification creates sensitive data, so we treat it that way and encrypt all records. Only tenant administrators have access to it.
Why it is built in, not bolted on
Verification belongs in the same workflow as the delivery: on the same screen the driver is already using, tied to the same order. Splitting it across a separate tool is how steps get missed. It also should not require moving up to an enterprise plan to get it. Doorstep verification is part of operating in a regulated industry, so it is part of MOR.
To be clear about what this does and does not do: MOR gives you the tools to verify deliveries and keep the records. Compliance itself remains your responsibility as the operator, and requirements vary by industry and jurisdiction. What we provide is the workflow and the record-keeping to support it.
